Mozambican Human Rights League
The Mozambican Human Rights League (LDH) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organisation founded in 1993 in accordance with articl 52 of the first democratic Constitution of the Republic of Mozambique. The LDH works on the promotion and defense of human rights through monitoring measures, advocacy, research and legal aid. Areas of expertise include access to justice, women’s rights, prisons, police, rural communities, the UN Universal Period Review, democratic participation, and private-sector impacts. LDH was the first organisation to launch a human rights and business project in Mozambique, a 2013 government partnership that has resulted, among other things, in the creation of the Human Rights and Business Country Guide.
